Day 1: Annemasse - Andermatt

Distance: 290 km

On the road : 5:35

We leave Annemasse to Thonon-les-Bains by Bons-en-Chablais. At Evian, we can make a first stop at the Casino or the lake.

We continue towards the Swiss border to St Gingloph, while the road to the water's edge with beautiful views over Lake Geneva and the Swiss shore.

In Aigle and its vineyards the road becomes twisty, crosses the Col du Pillon (1546 m) and Les Diablerets, on a beautiful road lined with black wooden chalets.

We go to Gstaad with its beautiful town center and luxury shops.

 We arrive in Thun, whose center with its many restaurants and banks is very nice.

It then follows the two lakes of Thun and Brienz, which are situated on either side of Interlaken.

after Meiringen you start to climb the Susten Pass (2259 m), well known by bike riders and it is a beautiful place for shooting commercials.

After the descent we head to Andermatt, where motorcyclists can easily find a place to rest.

 

Day 2: Andermatt - Stelvio Pass, Les Grisons, Alto Adige.

Distance: 300 km
On the road : 5:55

We leave Andermatt towards the Oberalp Pass (2046 m) where we immediately began the first laces.

We continue towards Chur. The main road is not very interesting, so we take a quieter parallel through Innertobel and Obersaxen.

After Chur we go back to the north to avoid the Plessur chain.

Shortly before arriving at Davos, it veers to the southeast through the only national park in Switzerland.

We cross the Fluela pass (2389 m) and dal Fuorn pass (2149 m).

At Santa Maria it heads south towards the Stelvio Pass.

Be careful ! A part of the road is not paved, be cautious and drive slowly!

Once past the Stelvio Pass and its fifty turn downhill, you can stop at one of the hotels on the road to Merano or push there to enjoy this charming little town.

 
Day 3 : Südtyrol, Dolomites

Distance: 190 km

On the road : 3:50

We leave from Merano to the north and take two valleys "Südtyrol", German speaking and Italian.

We pass in the first pass Jaufen (Jaufenpass) or Passo di Monte Giovo (2094 m).

Close to Vipiteno, we go south towards the Passo di Pennes (2214 m), before returning to Bolzano.

From Bolzano, it enters the Dolomites, which offer beautiful scenery, steep and jagged mountains and wild forests.

You can choose your accomodation where you want to take the time to explore the area, which is touristy in summer and winter.

The last miles before Corvara
-in-Badia are beautiful.

Day 4: Ride bike in the Dolomites

Distance: 212 km

On the road: 3:49

The route offers a circuit of just over 200 km through the Dolomites and returns to Corvara
-in-Badia, where you can leave your belongings in the room.

You can spend quite a few days in the region to explore other routes, walking, etc ... it is worth the trip. Roads further east towards Tolmezzo are perhaps less interesting.

 
Day 5: Dolomites - St Moritz

Distance: 291 km

On the road: 4:49

We leave towards Bolzano through a few Dolomites passes, as Passo di Gardena (2137 m), Passo di Sella (2244 m). After
Bolzano you pass  the Passo Della Mendola, whose asphalt is in great condition, with views on the Dolomites behind you. The descent takes you through vast fields of apple trees.

We continue to Passo del Tonale (1883 m) and then to the Passo di Foppa (or Mortirolo Pass 1852 m). Beware the descent of the pass is very narrow and steep: a good control of your motorcycle at low speed is essential.

We then take the Bernina Pass (2330 m) to St Moritz, or we can stop for the stage.

Day 6: St Moritz Oberalp Pass Gotthard, Furka Pass.

Distance: 275 km

On the road: 5:35

We leave St. Moritz in the direction of Julierpass (2284 m). The pass is a dream for bikers, great cornering, a perfect tarmac, and beautiful scenery.

It bypasses Italy from the north by the St Bernard Pass (2065 m, not to be confused with others), to descend in Ticino and back to the famous Gotthard Pass (2108 m). Caution the road is paved on one side and can be slippery.

Then we climd the Furka Pass (2431 m) with a magnificent cliffs and sharp peaks.

Can be found in Oberwald a choice of hotels accustomed to welcoming bikers.

Day 7: Oberwald - Annemasse.

Distance: 231 km

On the road: 4:32

It goes towards the southwest and we will follow up the Rhône valley to Martigny, where we go back a little north to Monthey, to take the direction of Morgins pass, and Val d'Abondance.

We go on to Annemasse by Bons-en-Chablais.
